Dominika Stopczańska

Attorney at Law

An expert in intellectual property law and commercial contract law.

Has extensive experience in developing solutions to protect the rights vested in entrepreneurs and individuals to intangible assets such as copyright, know-how, image and other personal rights, as well as rights to trademarks and brand protection. Moreover, she has represented clients in disputes concerning infringements of such rights, including in court proceedings. She has also taken action before the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).

In her professional practice concerning commercial contract law, she has provided comprehensive services to entities from the IT, creative, artistic and construction sectors. She prepared and participated in negotiations on cooperation, sub-contractor and license agreements, as well as agreements on transfer of intellectual property rights, including cross-border contracts.

She is the author of publications on practical aspects of intellectual property protection law (e.g. Between a work and performance. On the rights of “co-authors” of contemporary music in: Neofonia (współ)twórczość, Poznań 2019, Music Trademarks and Their Protection in Trademark and Copyright Law in: Eastern European Journal of Transnational Relations, Vol. 3, No. 1, 2019), and a speaker at numerous conferences and events concerning the rights of artists (including the 3rd National Instrumentology Conference, Ostromecko 2019, “On authors”, Gdańsk 2019). She teaches a course on copyright in artistic and educational activities for Sound and Audiosphere postgraduate students at the University of Wrocław.

Majored in law at the Faculty of Law and Administration and musicology at the Faculty of Historical Studies, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. Completed training for attorneys at law at the Wielkopolska Bar Association.
